Just discovered this site, anyone know if it's safe?
I came across a new site today and it looks pretty good, lots of options and seems to update frequently. But obviously I want to be careful, you never really know with some of these places! I'm always a bit paranoid about accidentally clicking on something dodgy and ending up with a virus or something. How do you guys usually check if a website is safe before you start browsing around? Just discovered this site, anyone know if it's safe?

Well, first things first: do they ask for a bunch of weird permissions or try to install things on your computer? Because that's generally a red flag. I tend to also do a quick search of the URL on a few different forums to see if anyone's reported issues. Sometimes if a site is brand new with no track record, you are better off just going to a reputable
where it is reviewed. Also, make sure you have good antivirus software active before going, in case anything bad happens despite your preparations.
